SUN ROOMS

By any other name the ever popular Sun Room is a conservatory with a solid roof.

Many building shapes can be achieved including glazed gables and bays, hipped roofs and lean-to links.
As with our other glazed buildings we will allow for plenty of Hardwood opening casement windows and, of course, doors as required.

Built with glazed elevations for maximum vertical light, the roof usually has a vaulted ceiling. This can have exposed rafters with insulated plasterboard in between or have a fully plaster boarded ceiling. Occasionally the roof includes some roof windows for extra light and ventilation. For complementary aesthetics we will always endeavour to match the roof tiles or slates of the adjoining building as well as the brick, stone or rendered walls. We’ve even been known to structure a roof half tiled and half glazed.
