SLIDING FOLDING DOORS AND LIFT & SLIDE PATIO DOORS

Sliding folding timber doors are a relatively new concept in the UK for domestic properties, and are now very popular in both the new-build and replacement-window/door market.

They can open to almost 95% of the available opening, unlike traditional sliding patio doors which only open to about 45% of the available width. The maximum width of each leaf is around 1.0m and the maximum door height around 2.7m. Systems can be manufactured from just two leaves to a maximum of 16, with one leaf being used for access.

The system is suitable for both internal and external applications and any style can be accommodated from a solid flush door to multi-panelled and fully glazed doors - the choice is yours.

Wherever possible we will use three part laminated material for the door to add stability, whilst the construction is double mortice and tenon. The finished doors are factory glazed with either low E toughened, Argon filled double glazing units or single glazed with toughened safety glass. In either case the glass can be specified as either clear or obscure according to your preference.

The doors can be designed to stack either inside or outside the room when open, and when closed they are secured with locking shoot bolts. The threshold track can be laid flush with the floor to allow easy access from room to room or outside.
